Miguel Antonio Venezuela is a pioneer of the airbrush painting technique. He is a mediator of the real world that is visible with the naked eye, and the mystical world that is discernible only by our vivid imaginations. Using his tools and talent, he is able to bring dreams to life; calling them out of our minds and onto paper. He is a translator of beauty who is present for the whole world to see in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Curated by Wendy Wong, Chair, Design Department, York University, the exhibit traces the development of modern Chinese Design with the support of artifacts selected from the late Qing and Cold-War periods to the current era (1908-2008). Through display from the areas of graphic, advertising, product, fashion and architecture designs, the exhibition will provide an overview of the challenges faced during different periods of time as well as achievements established throughout the years. Supported by Asia Heritage Month, Hong Kong Design Centre, Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office and York University. OPENING COCKTAIL RECEPTION FEB 8 AT 6PM
