Artist Spotlight: Mystical Mediator

Miguel Antonio Venezuela is a pioneer of the airbrush painting technique. He is a mediator of the real world that is visible with the naked eye, and the mystical world that is discernible only by our vivid imaginations. Using his tools and talent, he is able to bring dreams to life; calling them out of our minds and onto paper. He is a translator of beauty who is present for the whole world to see in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Profile

Founded in 1984 by the principal concertmaster and string section leaders of the famed Berlin Philharmonic, the Philharmonia Quartett Berlin brings 20 years of ensemble perfection to its 6th concert for Music Toronto. When not touring the rest of the world, the quartet performs regular series in London, Berlin and Japan.

The Philharmonia Quartett Berlin is presented by Music Toronto and is at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts on Thursday, January 24. Performance begins at 8 p.m. The evening’s program includes works by Shostakovich and Beethoven.

Music Toronto began in 1971 and invites you to explore the evocative world of chamber music.

Tickets:

General: $41 to $45
Ages 18 to 35: Pay your age
Students: $5, accompanying adult pays half price
